Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac has been enjoying the winter driving the Tourbillon prototype around Zagreb. In a video shared on social media, Rimac can be seen stepping inside a Tourbillon and thrashing the hypercar around on a snow-covered parking lot.
You may have seen this Tourbillon prototype before. It is the same car that was stuck on a snowbank two weeks ago. That being said, looking at the condition of this parking lot, the hypercar looks capable of handling a fair bit of snow.
The video also gives us an opportunity to listen to the 8.3-liter V16 naturally aspirated engine mounted at the back of the Tourbillon. It does sound a bit muted here, but that’s expected given the stringent emissions norms.
Despite that, the internal combustion engine alone produces 1000 hp @ 9000 rpm and 664 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with three electric motors for a combined output of 1800 hp, allowing the Tourbillon to sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.0 seconds and to a top speed of over 248 mph.
