Former Force India F1 driver Adrian Sutil has been arrested over allegations of fraud.
According to media reports, Sutil is suspected of ‘aggravated joint fraud and joint embezzlement’. He was arrested by the Stuttgart State criminal police and sent to pre-trial detention in a prison in Baden-Württemberg by a judge.

The police raided multiple locations in Monaco, Switzerland and Sindelfingen before taking Sutil into custody.
This is not the first time that Sutil has had a run-in with the law. He was found guilty in an assault case and was handed an 18-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of €200,000.

During his Formula 1 career, Sutil raced for the Spyker, Force India and Sauber teams. His last race was the 2014 Abu Dhabi GP.
Adrian Sutil is known for his flamboyant lifestyle and is often spotted driving his hypercars in Monaco. He owns the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport ‘Green Rhapsody’, Bugatti Veyron Rembrandt, Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss and a Koenigsegg Regera.
