Montana RV Show Planning Tips

Montana is a beautiful area to go RV camping, and there are several shows worth checking out to get you prepared. Here’s what you need to know to be ready for RV shows in Montana.

  • Weather: Montana’s weather is unpredictable for much of the year. In winter and spring, when many RV shows happen, you can still get lots of snow, but also warm sunny days. Be ready for cold weather, and bring a backpack or bag to the show so you can carry around your layers, hats, and gloves. If you’re driving to the RV show, be sure to check the weather to make sure there aren’t any storms and that the roads are safe to travel.
  • Camping: Most Montana campgrounds close for the colder months, usually from October through April. However, there are some campgrounds that stay open year-round. You may find some campgrounds that are open in winter in big cities like Missoula, Billings, and Bozeman. A few Montana state parks may also remain open, and two campgrounds at Glacier National Park stay open all year.
  • Logistics: You’ll want to work out the logistics for your trip well ahead of time. Lots of areas in Montana have amazing scenery, hiking, and other fun outdoor activities, so you might want to extend your trip. You’ll also want to think about how you’re getting back and forth to the show. If you don’t want to tear down your camp each morning to drive your RV, you’ll want a tow vehicle, rideshare, or to check out public transportation options to get to the show.
  • Take advantage: Plan out how to get the most from your visit as well. Look up the seminars, demonstrations, and other events that will be happening so you can plan out your days. Bring a notebook or find an app that will help you take notes of the things you learn. Talk to representatives and industry experts and ask questions or hear what they have to say. Be friendly with other attendees as well – everyone is here to learn, and this is a great place to make friends who love camping and the outdoors!

FAQs About RV Shows in Montana

Here are some common questions about RV shows in Montana.

Q: What’s the typical admission cost for RV shows in Montana?

A: The typical cost for RV shows in Montana is usually free. There may be a few smaller shows that cost a minimal amount, but most shows don’t cost guests at all.

Q: Are children or pets usually allowed at RV shows in Montana?

A: Children are usually allowed at RV shows in Montana. In fact, there may be booths or entertainment geared towards children so the entire family can enjoy their day at a Montana RV show.

Pets are usually not allowed at Montana RV shows, with the exception of service animals.

Q: Can I bring my RV to RV shows in Montana?

A: Most Montana RV shows have parking at the venue for RVs, but do not allow overnight parking. You may want to consider finding a nearby campground and driving a tow vehicle, taking a rideshare, or taking public transportation to get to the RV show.
If you want to trade in an RV, you can often park it outside and bring photos and information inside to the dealer. Dealers may then come outside to view the RV, or have you take it to a nearby dealership or other site for inspection.

Q: How early should I arrive at Montana RV shows?

A: You’ll want to arrive at least 30 minutes before a Montana RV show begins. That way, you have time to find parking, gather your things together, and make your way to the venue from your vehicle. When you’re among the early arrivals at a show, you’re often able to talk to dealers and vendors before the crowds get too overwhelming. And if you want any free samples from booths, you can nab them before they’re gone for the day!

Q: Are there Montana RV show discounts or promos?

A: There are often discounts and promos on RVs at Montana RV shows. Many shows say they offer show-exclusive deals that you’ll only find if you’re there. However, you’ll want to do some research to make sure you’re truly getting a great deal – some dealers may inflate prices ahead of time just so they can reduce them at shows. Know before you head to a show what you expect to pay for an RV … and stick to it.

Attending Montana RV shows can be a great way to learn more about RVs you might want to buy, and possibly to score a great deal! Even if you’re not in the market for an RV, you can learn a lot at seminars and workshops and by talking to fellow attendees. If there’s a particular show you’re interested in, sign up for updates on social media so you can find out which brands or speakers will be there. If you want to visit RV shows in neighboring states, you can check out shows in Idaho and Wyoming.

Also, check available RV rentals with RVshare near the show, especially if you want to try out an RV before you buy it.

Charged EVs | Clarios acquires Maxwell Technologies to advance its supercapacitor portfolio

Clarios, a supplier of low-voltage energy storage solutions, has announced the acquisition of Maxwell Technologies, a manufacturer of supercapacitor cells and modules. Clarios says this acquisition will enhance its position in high-performance, short-duration energy storage. Specific terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Maxwell Technologies’ supercapacitors are engineered to provide rapid charging and discharging, handling up to 1 million cycles and operating across a temperature range from minus 40 °C to 65 °C. Clarios says that these modules require no maintenance or additional fire-risk mitigation, addressing reliability and longevity challenges in energy storage designs.

In 2019, Tesla acquired Maxwell Technologies, which many believed had less to do with its pioneering work with supercapacitors (aka ultracapacitors) than with its “dry electrode” technology—a far simpler way to make the anodes and cathodes that form a battery cell.

In 2021, UCAP Power, a San Diego-based developer of ultracapacitor-based power solutions, purchased the Korean-based ultracapacitor business of Maxwell Technologies, along with other related assets, including the Maxwell brand.

Clarios states that integrating supercapacitor technology supports its supply chain stability for both US and global original equipment customers, specifically within the EV and broader mobility sector. The acquisition also aligns with Clarios’ focus on battery circularity and low-voltage energy storage innovation.

In addition to applications in automotive systems, Maxwell Technologies’ supercapacitors are also used in grid stabilization, power for data centers, energy generation, military, transportation and industrial automation. Maxwell has shipped over 85 million supercapacitor cells to date, according to Clarios.

“Maxwell’s supercapacitors are designed to provide customers with high-power energy storage solutions that emphasize reliability, safety, and long life,” said Mark Wallace, CEO of Clarios. “This integration strengthens our ability to serve our automotive customers and creates a long-term opportunity to expand our presence in non-automotive sectors. Maxwell’s existing customer relationships in Data Centers, Grid, Military and Industrial applications will be maintained and actively developed under Clarios’ leadership.”

Clarios will operate Maxwell Technologies as an independent, US-based business unit.

Mastering DC Area Driving: Why Certified BMW Service Matters

Mastering DC Area Driving: Why Certified BMW Service Matters

Mastering DC Area Driving: Why Certified BMW Service Matters

Author: Passport BMW

Owning a BMW is a statement of precision, performance, and sophistication. To maintain that unparalleled driving experience on the demanding roads of the Washington DC metro area, your vehicle requires care that matches its engineering. As a dealership deeply rooted in the community and committed to excellence, Passport BMW possesses the expertise to articulate why specialized, certified service is not just a recommendation but a necessity for protecting your investment and ensuring your safety.

Key Takeaways (TL;DR)

Here is a summary of the essential points for maintaining your BMW’s performance in the Suitland-Silver Hill area.

  • Protect Your Investment: Utilizing a BMW Certified Center with Original BMW Parts preserves your vehicle’s performance and enhances its resale value, a key metric tracked by authorities like Kelley Blue Book.
  • Specialized Technician Expertise: Factory-trained technicians have the unparalleled skill to service intricate systems, such as the advanced xDrive all-wheel-drive and the sophisticated iDrive operating system.
  • Tailored for Local Conditions: A local BMW center understands how the region’s humid summers and icy winters impact your vehicle, from its battery to its braking system.
  • Advanced Diagnostic Technology: Certified centers employ proprietary BMW diagnostic tools, ensuring the most accurate and efficient service for your finely-tuned automobile.
  • Guaranteed Repair Quality: All work performed at a BMW Certified Center is backed by a warranty, providing lasting confidence in every repair.
  • Convenience for a Dynamic Lifestyle: Premier service centers offer amenities like loaner vehicles, shuttle services, and seamless digital scheduling to fit your demanding schedule.

Why is a Certified BMW Center Superior to a General Repair Shop?

When your BMW requires maintenance, choosing between a certified center and a generic mechanic is a decision that impacts its performance, longevity, and value. A certified BMW center offers distinct advantages that ensure your vehicle receives the highest standard of care, specifically tailored to its sophisticated engineering.

The primary benefit is the use of Original BMW Parts. These are the same components your vehicle was built with at the factory, designed for a flawless fit and optimal function. They also uphold your vehicle’s factory warranty. In contrast, independent shops often use aftermarket parts that may not meet BMW’s exacting standards. Technicians at certified centers also undergo rigorous and continuous training directly from BMW. This specialization provides them with intimate knowledge of every system in your vehicle, from the powerful engine in your M4 to the advanced driver-assistance features in your X5.

Furthermore, many new BMWs include programs like BMW Ultimate Care. Certified centers are the only facilities authorized to perform the complimentary maintenance covered under this plan. Every service visit is also meticulously documented in BMW’s national service history database. This creates a comprehensive, verifiable record that is invaluable for warranty claims and can significantly enhance your car’s resale value, a factor noted by automotive experts at Edmunds. Taking your BMW to an uncertified shop for a drive through Arlington or a commute from Alexandria introduces risks, including inaccurate diagnoses or the potential voiding of your warranty.

What Does “BMW Certified” Truly Signify?

BMW Certified

The “BMW Certified” designation is more than a title; it is a commitment to upholding the brand’s stringent standards for quality, expertise, and customer satisfaction. To earn this certification from BMW of North America, a service department must demonstrate excellence in several critical areas.

  • Continuous Technician Training: Technicians must complete ongoing education from BMW, covering everything from classic combustion engines to the advanced electric drivetrains in models like the BMW iX and i4.
  • Exclusive Use of Original BMW Parts: Only Original BMW Parts are used for repairs. Each component is backed by its own two-year, unlimited mileage warranty, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Access to Proprietary Technology: Certified centers have exclusive access to BMW’s specialized diagnostic systems and receive technical service bulletins (TSBs) directly from the engineers. This provides the most current repair information and software updates for your vehicle.
  • Preservation of Warranty: All service work is documented precisely to preserve your factory warranty and any extended service contracts, safeguarding your investment.
  • Commitment to Customer Experience: Dealerships must maintain exceptional Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores. BMW consistently monitors these metrics to ensure every owner receives a premium, trustworthy experience.

What Should a Premier BMW Service Department Offer?

A top-tier BMW service department delivers a comprehensive suite of services engineered to care for your vehicle throughout its entire life cycle. This goes well beyond routine tasks to provide expert support for every facet of your BMW.

These are the core services you should expect from a leading service center in the Suitland-Silver Hill area:

  • Scheduled Maintenance: This includes vital services like synthetic oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks, all performed according to the specific maintenance schedule outlined by BMW for your model.
  • Major Mechanical Repairs: From intricate engine diagnostics to transmission service, a certified center is equipped to handle any significant mechanical issue using Original BMW Parts and specialized tools.
  • BMW Ultimate Care Fulfillment: A reputable center honors the BMW Ultimate Care program, ensuring you receive the complimentary scheduled maintenance included with your new vehicle purchase.
  • Specialized Electric Vehicle (EV) Service: With the rise of all-electric models like the BMW i7, specialized service is paramount. This requires certified training in high-voltage battery diagnostics, electric motor repairs, and charging system maintenance.
  • Complex Electronics Diagnosis: Technicians use BMW’s advanced diagnostic system to accurately identify and resolve issues with complex electronic systems, including the iDrive controller and advanced driver-assistance features.
  • Tire Sales and Service: A complete range of tire services is essential for safety, particularly on icy winter roads. This includes mounting, balancing, rotation, and four-wheel alignments to optimize performance and tire longevity.
  • Comprehensive Brake Services: Reliable brakes are non-negotiable for navigating traffic on the Capital Beltway (I-495). Services should cover inspections, pad and rotor replacement, and brake fluid flushes.
  • Battery Testing and Replacement: A certified center offers testing, replacement, and recycling for both conventional 12V and high-voltage EV batteries, ensuring your vehicle starts reliably on cold Maryland mornings.
  • Climate Control Service: Proper function of your heating and air conditioning is vital for comfort, from sweltering DC summers to freezing winter nights. Diagnosis and repair of these systems maintain a perfect cabin environment.
  • Safety Recalls and Service Bulletins: Certified centers automatically check for and perform any open safety recalls. They also address Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) to keep your vehicle updated with the latest manufacturer-recommended enhancements.

For drivers needing swift maintenance, an express service option for oil changes or tire rotations can save precious time and get you back on your journey without a long appointment.

How Does DC Area Driving Impact Your BMW?

Navigating the Washington DC, Alexandria, and Upper Marlboro region presents a unique set of challenges that place considerable demands on any vehicle. The combination of urban congestion, variable weather, and road conditions puts your BMW’s sophisticated systems to the test.

  • Potholes and Uneven Pavement: After the winter freeze-thaw cycle, local roads like Pennsylvania Avenue SE and Branch Avenue are often riddled with potholes. An unexpected impact can damage your tires, disrupt wheel alignment, or even harm your suspension components. Regular alignment checks are vital for preventing uneven tire wear and maintaining precise handling.
  • Extreme Temperatures and Humidity: The region’s climate swings from humid, 90-degree summer days to sub-freezing winter nights. This variation can strain your battery, engine fluids, and climate control system. A weak battery is more susceptible to failure in extreme cold, while the A/C system must work harder during summer heat waves.
  • Stop-and-Go Traffic: Daily commutes on the Capital Beltway or navigating the streets of Arlington involve constant acceleration and braking. This driving pattern places significant wear on your brake pads, rotors, and transmission. Regular brake inspections are crucial for both safety and component longevity.
  • Road Salt and Winter Grime: The salt and de-icing agents used on Maryland and Virginia roads during winter are highly corrosive. They can accelerate rust formation on your vehicle’s undercarriage, brake lines, and exhaust system. Frequent car washes, particularly those with an underbody spray, are essential to mitigate this damage.

Does a BMW Center’s Technology Provide a True Advantage?

BMW Center’s Technology

Yes, unequivocally. Modern BMWs are highly sophisticated machines, and the technology available at a certified service center offers a decisive advantage. These centers invest heavily in proprietary diagnostic tools and software developed by BMW for BMW vehicles.

This technological superiority ensures more accurate diagnoses and more efficient repairs. It guarantees that complex systems, such as the xDrive all-wheel-drive system and advanced driver-assistance features, are serviced and calibrated with absolute precision. Certified BMW centers use the Integrated Service Technical Application (ISTA), the official factory diagnostic system. This allows for deep-level diagnostics, essential software updates, and precise calibrations of features like Active Cruise Control.

By contrast, many independent shops depend on generic OBD-II scanners. While useful for basic engine codes, these tools cannot properly diagnose or recalibrate many of BMW’s specialized electronic systems. Furthermore, a certified center integrates your digital service records into BMW’s national database. This creates a complete, verifiable history that is crucial for warranty claims and can boost your car’s resale value. Finally, modern centers enhance the customer experience with digital conveniences like online appointment scheduling and text message updates, providing complete transparency.

What Are the Differentiators of an Elite BMW Service Experience?

A truly exceptional service experience transcends mere technical competence; it is defined by a culture of transparency, respect for your time, and a dedication to building a long-term relationship.

  • Proactive Communication: An elite service advisor does more than just report findings. They provide context, explaining the “why” behind each recommendation and helping you prioritize services based on safety and necessity.
  • Personalized Service Plans: Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, a premier center considers your specific driving habits. Whether you primarily commute on I-295 or enjoy weekend drives on scenic byways, they can tailor maintenance advice to your lifestyle.
  • Investment in Master Technicians: The best centers actively support their technicians in achieving Master Technician status, the highest level of certification from BMW. This demonstrates a deep commitment to expertise.
  • Pristine and Organized Facility: The condition of the service bay and customer lounge often reflects the quality of the work. A clean, well-organized, and modern facility indicates a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

How Can You Best Prepare for Your Service Appointment?

A small amount of preparation can significantly streamline your service visit, making the entire process more efficient and effective. Taking these simple steps helps ensure you and your service advisor are perfectly aligned on your vehicle’s needs.

Before arriving at the center, make a note of any specific issues you have observed. This could include an unusual sound, a dashboard warning light, or a subtle change in the vehicle’s handling. The more detail you can provide, the more efficiently the technician can diagnose the problem. It is also helpful to remove personal belongings and clutter, allowing technicians easy access to all areas of your vehicle.

If your BMW has wheel locks, be sure to bring the special key. This is required for any service that involves removing the wheels, such as a tire rotation or brake inspection. Finally, never hesitate to ask your service advisor questions. A knowledgeable advisor will gladly take the time to explain the recommended services and why they are necessary, empowering you to make informed decisions about your vehicle’s care.

What Are the Hallmarks of a Trustworthy BMW Service Center?

Trustworthy BMW Service Center

Not all service centers operate at the same high standard. Identifying a BMW service department with a strong reputation for integrity can save you from future headaches and unnecessary costs. There are clear indicators that distinguish a top-quality center, reflecting a dedication to both technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

How can you determine if a service center is reputable? Look for these key signs:

  • Exceptional Customer Reviews: Check for consistently high ratings on platforms like Google. Focus on reviews from other DC-area drivers that highlight honesty, clear communication, and quality repairs.
  • Certified and Specialized Technicians: Inquire if their team includes BMW Master Certified or High-Voltage Certified technicians. This confirms they have attained the highest levels of factory training.
  • Transparent, Itemized Estimates: You should always receive a clear estimate that details the costs of parts and labor. A trustworthy center will not have hidden fees or surprise you with unexpected charges. For a better understanding of repair costs, you can consult resources from organizations like the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
  • Proper Service Documentation: An excellent service center logs all work in BMW’s national database. This is essential for warranty claims and proves a consistent history of proper maintenance, a feature you can also review on a CARFAX Vehicle History Report.
  • Amenities That Value Your Time: Conveniences like complimentary loaner vehicles, a local shuttle service, and effortless online scheduling demonstrate that a center understands and respects the demands of your schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How often does my BMW need an oil change in the DC area?

Modern BMWs use a Condition Based Service (CBS) system that monitors your driving habits and tells you exactly when service is needed. Given the mix of highway driving on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and city traffic in DC, it is best to follow your vehicle’s CBS alerts for optimal timing.

Is it acceptable to use non-BMW parts for repairs?

While some aftermarket parts may be less expensive, Original BMW Parts are always recommended. They are engineered specifically for your vehicle to ensure perfect fit, peak performance, and compliance with your factory warranty.

When should I have my brakes inspected?

You should have your brakes inspected at least annually or if you notice any squeaking, grinding, or a soft feel in the brake pedal. The frequent stop-and-go driving around Alexandria and Arlington can lead to accelerated brake wear.

Does BMW offer complimentary maintenance on new vehicles?

Yes, most new BMW vehicles come with BMW Ultimate Care. This program covers standard factory-recommended maintenance, such as oil changes and filter replacements, for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

What does it mean if my check engine light comes on?

The check engine light can signal anything from a loose gas cap to a more complex engine issue. The only way to know for sure is to have it diagnosed at a certified BMW center using the proprietary ISTA diagnostic system. Reputable sources like Consumer Reports offer general guidance on vehicle warning lights.

Do I have to service my BMW at a dealership to keep my warranty?

While you can go to an independent shop, using a BMW Certified Center is highly advisable. They have the factory training, specialized tools, and Original BMW Parts required to maintain your vehicle to the manufacturer’s standards and ensure your warranty remains intact.

SPY PHOTOS! Next-Gen Audi SQ7 SPIED Rocking a Dollar-Store 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Halloween Mask and Thinking We Wouldn’t Notice

Spy photos of the heavily camouflaged 2026 Audi Q7/Q7 facelift (particularly the high-performance SQ7 variant) have set forums ablaze, and for good reason. Beneath the swirling black-and-white wrap, the new Audi’s front end is wearing a face that looks almost identical to the outgoing fourth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe (2021–2023, the so-called “last-gen” model that bowed out with the 2022 model year in many markets).

Look past the disguise and the similarities are uncanny. The 2022 Santa Fe featured slim, horizontal upper LED daytime running lights that sat high on the fenders, flowing into a wide, cascading grille with a distinctive parametric jewel pattern and chrome surround. Directly below sat larger main headlight units integrated into the bumper, creating a clean split-headlight look that was elegant yet assertive. Fast-forward to the camouflaged 2026 SQ7 prototypes, and the layout is virtually the same: narrow upper DRL “eyebrows,” a broad octagonal grille with horizontal emphasis, and lower main headlight clusters framed by vertical air intakes. Even the hood shut-line and the way the grille tucks under the leading edge mirror the Santa Fe’s proportions with startling accuracy.
The resemblance isn’t subtle. Side-by-side images circulating on Reddit, AudiWorld, and GermanCarForum have users doing double-takes, with comments ranging from “Did Audi just Photoshop a Santa Fe front onto the Q7 prototype?” to “That’s literally the 2022 Santa Fe grille with Quattro badges.” The wheel arches, the flat shoulder line, and the overall wide-and-low stance only reinforce the visual overlap.

For context, the 2022 Santa Fe was widely praised for finally giving Hyundai a genuinely premium-looking front end in the mid-size segment, one that could sit in a Lexus dealership without raising eyebrows. Now Audi, a brand that charges triple the price and has built its reputation on teutonic restraint and originality, appears to be borrowing that exact recipe for its flagship seven-seat SUV.

Whether this is conscious homage, lazy convergence, or simply two design teams arriving at the same solution in a wind-tunnel-dominated era, the result is the same: a six-figure German performance SUV wearing the face of a $34,000 Korean family hauler that’s already headed to the used-car lots.

So we’ll ask you directly: when the camouflage finally comes off in 2026, will this be a clever, confident evolution for the Q7 family, or an embarrassing case of a luxury marque copying a mainstream design that’s barely two years old? Is the new Audi Q7/SQ7 front end a hit that cleverly modernizes the lineup, or a miss that makes the Four Rings look suspiciously like they shopped at the Hyundai parts bin?

The comments are open, let the roasting (or defending) begin.

New Morgan Plus Models In Plus Four and Plus Six

Morgan Motor Company is adding to the Plus model line-up with the reimagining of the Plus Four and the Plus Six. As part of the new ‘Plus’ line, enhancements will be introduced and it will be seen on the new Plus Four and Plus Six models starting January 2023.

The ‘Plus’ moniker means that it is a mainstay of Morgan production and that it is at par with the newly introduced ‘Super’. It was in 1950 that the ‘Plus’ was first introduced in the Plus 4. With more than 70 years of heritage, Plus bravely looks towards the future, fully embracing new technologies while reimagining the experience of driving a modern yet handcrafted sports car for the 21st Century.

The new Morgan Plus Four and Plus Six is coach-built using Morgan’s CX-Generation bonded aluminum platform. Its design is an automatic timeless classic. The Plus Four was given a slightly narrower body and wire wheels, with its aesthetic reminiscent of the original vehicles. On the other hand, the Plus Six have a wider and more assertive appearance, and has a more contemporary aesthetic. Both vehicles were given new features and to ensure a more cohesive tailoring experience for clients, their list of options and configurations will also be closely aligned.

Morgan Motor Company Chief Executive Officer Massimo Fumarola shared, “The new Morgan Plus line celebrates the essence of unconventional driving and ethical engineering. It unites timeless design and craftsmanship with the most exhilarating driving engagement. With Plus we want to honour those individuals who believe that motoring is not about status, but more about character, authenticity, and pleasure.”

Interior Design

Significant update on the interior is one of the main features of the new Plus models from Morgan. It offers greater refinement, more personalization opportunities, and more usability compared to the earlier generations.

A new range of marquetry veneers which extend throughout the vehicle starting from its center console has been introduced, highlighting the company’s commitment to craftsmanship and bespoke tailoring, showcasing the natural materials, form, and design that Morgan has become known for.

Abstract motifs for moving spokes are ‘Spokes in Flight’ and ‘Kinetic Diamond’, which are inspired by the spoked wheels that for decades have been featured on Morgan cars. A third veneer option is ‘Engineered’ and it features aluminum strips between wood, and it signifies the two core materials that Morgan has used in their cars.

A new instrument panel and superformed aluminum dashboard can be specified in either matte black, or matte silver. It can also be specified to match a specific body color. On the passenger side of the dashboard, it can also be specified that a model designation be placed. New instruments are featured on the dashboard, and it will also have a new face artwork. A minimal and clutter-free aesthetic is featured on the instrument artwork which was inspired by premium timepieces and has been simplified. The dashboard design incorporates a new and larger LCD information display screen, and has been placed in front of the driver. To improve its usability for drivers, it was given updated screen graphics and improved animation. The screen itself is subtle, only displaying necessary information, as part of Morgan’s philosophy of appropriately introducing technology to its vehicles.

Beneath the aluminum dashboard is a solid wooden lower rail that coordinates with the center column. Each wooden section was meticulously handcrafted by the skilled craftspeople at Morgan, and it can be given a variety of finishes and colors. For the first time, a Plus model was given a new glovebox, and it sits just below the wooden lower rail, is designed in matching leather, and it is also where the USB power sockets were hidden.

The steering wheel can now be specified to have a satin polished center section which coordinates with other internal embellishers which includes the door handle, speaker grille, hand brake, and gear shift surrounds.

PLUS LAUNCH CONTENT

Designed specifically for the latest Plus models is the two-tone fabric which offers a mix of textures and beautifully contrasts on the seats and door cards. As standard, it has black pebble grain leather and black fabric, and it has an additional six color options and leather grains to choose from.

The natural textile is woven from worsted wool using fine marl yarns. Each fabric is matched with a complimentary leather colorway, so that the leather is used sparingly, celebrating it as a fine material.

One of the most noticeable update to the door interior is the new ‘bolt-action’ door handle which is placed on the lower section of the door. Made from lacquered stainless steel and high-quality saddle leather, it gives an aesthetic upgrade as well as an impressive mechanical sensation during egress.

A variety of enhancements can also be seen in both the standard and Comfort Plus seat options. A full redesign was given on the headrests of both seat variants and it now features intricate stitch detail and is now slimmer than before. Comfort Plus seats now have an adjustable thigh bolster and knurled metal recline adjustment level. For the first time in Plus models, Morgan also added an optional integrated cup holder. It can be detached and easily fits into the base of the passenger seat.

Morgan Motor Company Chief Design Officer Jonathan Wells stated, “The Plus line in 2023 presents a marked evolution of the four-wheeled Morgan. As with any enduring design, it is crucial to strike a balance between moving forward whilst complementing established product qualities.

“The design team is fortunate to work in proximity with mechanical and quality engineers, as well as the craftsmen at Pickersleigh road. Designers can deliver solutions that envelope a clear understanding of constraints and opportunities. Through this understanding, we have been able to introduce sizeable new technologies and features, whilst also enhancing the perceived quality of Morgan Plus cars.

“A holistic whole vehicle study has considered the more significant changes, through to multiple more nuanced design updates – the increased impression of quality will be evident.”

Morgan Plus Six dynamic

Engaging Vehicle Dynamics

A Morgan sports car is defined by its lightweight engineering, the driving pleasure it provides, and the unique connection it offers between the driver and the car. To ensure the continuous dynamic evolution of Plus models, in-house engineering teams in Morgan have constantly worked with industry leading external partners. During the whole process, It was important that the key principles of the Morgan driving experience is kept, this also includes requirements for future technology, safety, and legislative requirements.

The new Plus models also introduced Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and an all-new braking system, which were developed with Continental and AP Racing. All Plus Four and Plus Six models will have ESC. The ESC is mode dependent and it has been tuned for each model and gearbox variant, and depending on the driving mode, it can also be switched between levels of assistance.

Developed with the ESC program, the new AP Racing braking system was designed to deliver high-performance braking.

In partnership with BMW, they developed bespoke gearbox calibrations for the automatic variant of the Plus Four and Plus Six models.

In ‘normal’ driving mode, four calibrations will automatically adapt gear shifting based on the steering angle and brake pressure. Four additional calibrations are added in ‘Sport’ and ‘Sport+’ modes, programmed to be more dynamic, it will adapt gear shifting which is also based on the steering angle and brake pressure.

An accelerometer and driver torque demand is used the new hill detection so that it can automatically select a lower gear for steep inclines. Aside from improving drivability and increasing performance, the new calibrations also improves efficiency.

Completing the dynamic enhancements of the Plus models is the addition of the new suspension dampers and bushes. Further refinement is provided by the new bush rating on low-frequency road undulations while the new dampers enhance ride compliance, high-speed performance, and progressive rate.

As standard, airbags have been added behind the new aluminum dashboard and in the steering wheel. These new addition represents a significant engineering project and is above the homologation requirements for the vehicle.

“The introduction of new dynamic features to our latest Plus models reflects Morgan’s philosophy of continual evolution. Above all, Morgan sports cars should be fun to drive, providing occupants with a unique and memorable experience. Our latest introductions celebrate these qualities, whilst also increasing the level of safety, and future-proofing our models against ever changing legislative requirements,” said Morgan Motor Company Chief Technical Officer Matt Hole.

Morgan Plus Sennheiser grille

Sennheiser Audio

As part of Morgan’s philosophy of bringing together traditional coachbuilding methods with the latest technology, Morgan is partnering with Sennheiser to provide a revolutionary audio system in their new Plus models. With more than 75 years of experience in audio and music, Sennheiser’s expertise is unmatched.

Previous Morgan sports cars may have offered an audio system, but Sennheiser’s audio experience solution matches its premium reputation, easily better than any previous systems. They provide an enveloping sound with a unique soundstage with the highest level of audio fidelity.

Sennheiser’s tuning creates the illusion of a sound stage in front of the passengers, adding an unmatched high-quality soundtrack during memorable drives. The AMBEO Contrabass algorithm enables the audio system to create a unique bass response which has been optimized for definition, punch, and depth and still keeps the system efficient and compact.

Eight transducers are used in the system; four conventional speakers are placed in the door and rear panel, and an additional four invisible speakers were added, with three placed behind the dashboard and one in the lower compartment panel for bass reproduction. A new amplifier controls the transducers and it has a dedicated DSP which is powered by Sennheiser’s audio processing software.

The addition of the speakers does not alter the design of the cabin, and the use of invisible speakers ensures that only minimal weight is added, which is integral in every sports car. Premium sound quality if maintained, even with the demanding conditions that is set by an open-top sports vehicle.

Subtle Sennheiser branding can be seen on the speaker grille placed on each door. The iconic Morgan louvres stamped on each bonnet of Plus models influenced the design of the speaker grilles. Finished in polished satin, it is coordinated with the other embellishers that can be seen in the cockpit of the vehicle.

Head of Sennheiser Mobility Veronique Larcher shared, “Both companies collaborated closely to create a one-of-a-kind product with no compromise in sound reproduction, performance, design, and quality. We couldn’t have celebrated our road debut better than with a brand whose pursuit of quality and excellence in craftsmanship is so fully aligned with Sennheiser’s values.”

Morgan Plus Four dynamic

Individuality Celebrated

Individuality is certainly celebrated by Morgan cars and they really encourage their owners to commission their own bespoke Plus model, as there is a wide variety of options to select from. Each customer have the chance to finally bring their dream car to life as they create a true one-off that reflects their personal style and taste.

To help clients through the process of commissioning their own Morgan, the design team created a series of specification themes that help bring the model to life. These specifications not only showcase the versatility of the Morgan design, but it also duplicates the different environs that Morgan cars frequent.

Some of these themes include Riviera, Nordic, Stateside, Britannia, Urban, and Alpine. Each one of them can be selected through Morgan’s online configurator starting 2023.

In honor of the company’s roots in motorsport and trialling success, they also added 12 new graphic packs that include roundels, strikethrough numbers, and bonnet stripes. They will also be available starting 2023. For additional personalization, all the graphics will be available in black, white, or clear vinyl. Another option is the ‘pilot’ and ‘co-pilot’ call sign that can be placed on the exterior of the vehicle.

Production is scheduled to start in January 2023 and prospective clients are currently welcome to already start their bespoke Plus commissions.

Ioniq, ID, EQ… what makes an electric sub-brand succeed?

Ioniq, ID, EQ… what makes an electric sub-brand succeed?

Reintegrating an electric executive saloon back into the traditional fold makes particular sense to me, then: it’s the E-Class you’ve known and respected all your life but now it offers the option of a zero-emissions powertrain. Smart.

Stellantis likes doing the same, because it means it can build one model and be flexible about the proportion of powertrains that it fits: it views electric propulsion as just an alternative to a petrol or diesel or hybrid system, figuring that what you actually want is a Peugeot 208 or a Vauxhall Astra, then secondarily you’re just choosing how best to power it.

And if more people want EVs, fine: the factories just build fewer petrol ones, rather than having entire models at the mercy of EV adoption rates. I’d think that, by now, we would see the start of consensus on what works best for car makers when it comes to this (electric-only and new brands excepted, of course) and that for legacy manufacturers (for want of a better phrase for them), giving customers the cars they know and like, just with differing levels of electrification, would be the answer.

Yet not everybody is making a success of it this way. The Renault 5 has been reborn as an EV only and it seems to be doing just fine for itself. Some of Hyundai’s EVs wear the Ioniq tag rather than being electric variants of pre-existing models.

And even within the big manufacturer groups there isn’t outright consensus: Skoda is continuing to offer unique EV models happily, whereas Volkswagen is rowing back on its ID brand towards names that we already know and love. At some point surely we will call the forthcoming ID Polo just the Polo?

So why is it that some new EV sub-brands work and some don’t? Can one identify why, specifically, it’s better in some cases to have a spin-off EV badge but in others it’s better to integrate EV models into the conventional lineup? Why does an Ioniq work when an EQ doesn’t?

I’m still trying to find a reason beyond perception, or vibes. Skoda doesn’t have reputational skin in compact crossovers, so it can have separate EV and ICE models with differing names and it makes no difference. Yet if it were to introduce an electric family saloon/ estate, wouldn’t one want it to be an Octavia?

2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan First Look: Specifications, Price, New Features

2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan First Look: Specifications, Price, New Features

Rolls-Royce Cullinan Full Review

Rolls-Royce just revealed their much-awaited SUV…Really?…Yes…Time to party!

For many years, there was a fake hope for an SUV from Rolls-Royce. A lot of people manipulated Rolls-Royce into an SUV, some designs being quite good and some, well they were very bad. As we all know, the market for SUV has been increasing drastically over the past few years. The reason is simply that an SUV provides you with the comfort of a car and the ability of a pick-up truck.

Finally, today in 2018, Rolls-Royce officially showed us that they are indeed entering the SUV market. The day before this blog was actually written, few pictures got leaked of the new SUV but Rolls-Royce demanded to take down those photos. The demand of the company was apparently not taken into consideration. Today, on the 10th of May, few famous car vloggers and bloggers got a chance to film a video and see the all-new Rolls-Royce SUV for the very first time. Rolls-Royce also revealed the automobile on their social media accounts.

The British luxury automobile manufactured, which is owned by the German group, BMW has finally let us all get a good look at their latest masterpiece, named as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. This vehicle is the first time ever that Rolls-Royce has brought a product to the SUV market. From the early audience reactions, most of them seem to be really liking it.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan 0-60 mph

A Rolls-Royce spotted in the wild…Wait…What?

New Features

Being a Rolls-Royce, the SUV is designed to give you ultimate comfort and luxury. But the time has finally come and you can drive a Rolls-Royce off-road. Yes, you read that well. The SUV is an all-wheel-drive SUV, capable of handling any type of terrain. The manufacturers also made sure that you do not have to navigate through a whole bunch of settings to be able to get your desired one, rather they fitted only a button, labelled as ‘off-road’ in the centre console and this is all that you need to press if you want to take your luxury piece of excellence on an off-road journey.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan Top Speed

The interior of the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan has been highly revised. The interior is a bit more to the sporty younger side compared to other models. The steering wheel is relatively smaller and thicker than the normal one, to give you a better grip. Another major upgrade is the fact that the new Cullinan is using a touch-screen which is replacing the previous screen. You also get the 360-degree camera system which is being fitted in a lot of luxury cars nowadays. With this model also comes new trim options for the interior.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has air suspension that allows the car to lower itself to a good 40mm to ease the entrance for the occupants. The signature suicide doors have remained unchanged. Maybe the only difference is that the umbrella is not in the front doors anymore, they are fitted inside the rear doors which makes it easier for the driver to remove the umbrella without having to get out of the car. The doors close with the push of a button as always. Rolls-Royce wanted to keep all of its signature touches and at the same time, makes the Callinan a timeless luxury SUV.

The 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan features panoramic sunroof instead of the stars roof. The rear infotainment system is still here, hidden behind the table that retracts itself by the push of a button. One thing that is obvious is that Rolls-Royce did not compromise on the luxury and quality but still, they made an SUV like none other.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan Interior

Let’s take a moment to talk about the boot of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Apart from being a comfortable and capable SUV on every terrain, this is also one of the most practical SUV. The massive tailgate opens itself electronically through a button on the key. There is an enormous amount of space there which can easily accommodate all your luggage, no matter what is your journey. The tailgate also opens in two pieces, which makes it practical if you plan on having a picnic on the back of your expensive SUV. The rear seats can be folded down by pressing down a button in the trunk, after all, this is a Rolls-Royce. The Cullinan sits on 22-inch wheels but still, the ride will be very smooth just like the other models.

Hmm…Maybe pop up the hood?…Great idea!

In the front, the spirit of ecstasy greets you with all of its glory and pride. Then comes the time to open up the colossal hood. At first glance, the engine is just like any other Rolls-Royce, the famous V12. But the manufacturer reworked on the engine to make it just perfect for the Callinan.

Apart from being the first SUV from Rolls-Royce, the Cullinan is also the first all-wheel-drive model. The ultra-luxury Rolls-Royce Cullinan is powered by a 6.75L twin-turbocharged V12 engine. This is the only option available for the engine.

For all those that were expecting crazy figures here will be disappointed (sorry on behalf of Rolls-Royce). The Cullinan makes a good 563 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. This is not a small number at all but when compared to the competitors, this has to be the least powerful SUV (I am talking about the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga). The SUV, even though it looks big, it is actually not longer than a Range Rover. In terms of weight, the Callinan is only 2660 kg (5864 lbs).

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. This is also the sole gearbox option available for the model. Currently, there is only an estimate for the 0-60 mph time. The approximate time is 6.7s. (This figure will be updated once the real figure will be available). The top speed of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is 155 mph (250 km/h). The SUV has a combined fuel consumption of 18.8 miles per gallon.

This SUV is not by any means a performance one, rather a luxurious off-road vehicle that will make you look good and rich both on the road and on the mountains. Most of the buyers would be chauffeur-driven, and they would not even care that it has only 563 hp. They chose that SUV to enjoy a fancy and noiseless ride. And coming back to the off-road ability, most of the people who will be buying the Cullinan would be mostly driving in towns and on the highways, rather than taking it off-road. Even if they wanted to take it off-road, something would stop them from doing so and that thing is ‘bro, did you see how much you paid for that damn thing? And now, you want to go and scratch the bumper on some rocks?’

Will I get a bumper to bumper ‘ultra-luxury’ warranty included in the price?

Now comes the most interesting part of this whole review. It is finally time to talk about price. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan costs more than a Rolls-Royce Ghost and less than a Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII. The Cullinan is also the most expensive SUV that you can currently buy.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan Price MSRP

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has a starting MSRP of $325,000. A well specced Rolls-Royce Cullinan could even go past the $500,000 margin. Is it really worth that much money? That is a damn Rolls-Royce, ladies and gentlemen!

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is expected to go into production in mid-2018 and customers could expect their delivery by the end of 2018 or at the start of 2019.

Update (9/10/18): The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has already made its appearance on the road. A few customers have already got their delivery.

What Are the Most Affordable RVs in 2026?

HAVE YOU BEEN DREAMING about owning an RV for some time? It might be more affordable than you think, with today’s RV manufacturers finding creative ways to offer budget-friendly RVs with excellent features and amenities. We’ve compiled a list of the best affordable RVs in 2026 to help you get into the RV lifestyle without breaking the bank. Let’s get started!

Key Takeaways

  • The best affordable RVs of 2026 include travel trailers, small lightweight RVs, full-time-friendly models, motorhomes, and fifth wheels—each offering strong value, practical layouts, and family-focused features.
  • Standout models featured include the Coleman 23B, Jay Flight SLX 197MBW, Campsite Reserve 26CJ, Coleman 13S/13T, Ozark 1610FBLE, Campsite Reserve 39LA, Coleman Lantern 32BHS, and budget-friendly Class B and fifth wheels.

Our Favorite Affordable RVs in 2026

Travel trailers are often the most budget-friendly RVs on the market, making them ideal for new RV families, couples, and solo travelers. Some even offer surprisingly luxurious amenities and slide-outs that expand the living space. These are our top affordable RV trailers for 2026, designed to help you start making memories by the campfire.

Keystone Coleman 23B

Subscribe to the Camping World YouTube channel, and never miss a video.

Specs

  • Length: 27’6
  • Dry Weight: 4,462 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,038 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6

With no slide-out, the interior of the Coleman 23B is compact. However, this is partly due to Keystone’s effort to provide everything needed for a comfortable camping trip. You’ll find a sofa, a booth dinette, a 2-burner cooktop, a microwave, a fridge and freezer, spacious bunk beds, and a full bath.

One of my favorite features of this camper is the partition separating the queen bed from the rest of the camper. When traveling with kids, many parents want privacy, and the Coleman 23B delivers without creating a separate front bedroom. You’ll also have two side wardrobes and a shelf above the bed for adequate storage.

Compare the added living space in the Coleman 27B.

Jayco Jay Flight SLX 197MBW

Specs

  • Length: 23’7”
  • Dry Weight: 3,940 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,055 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8

If you’re traveling with kids and looking for a comfortable interior space, the Jay Flight SLX 197MBW is an excellent option due to its double-over-double bunks and single slide-out, which makes the central living space more open. Families will appreciate the large U-shaped dinette in the slide-out across from the kitchen. Additionally, there’s good storage throughout, including shelves for towels and toiletries in the bathroom, drawers underneath the sofa, and side wardrobes for clothes.

Rather than a separate bedroom, the 197MBW features a Murphy bed that converts to a sofa when you aren’t sleeping. This saves space, keeping the camper under 24 feet long, but it also eliminates privacy. Parents will need to weigh the pros and cons of this layout to decide if this compact, yet comfortable, travel trailer is the right fit for their family.

Forest River Campsite Reserve 26CJ

Subscribe to the Camping World YouTube channel, and never miss a video.

Specs

  • Length: 32’9”
  • Dry Weight: 6,421 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,253 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8

The Campsite Reserve 26CJ has a large slide-out with a booth dinette and a sofa, creating a spacious living area. It also features corner double-over-double bunk beds with storage underneath. I love the second entry into the rear corner bath because it makes it easy to clean up after a long day of hiking and exploring. You don’t have to walk through the camper to get to the sink.

The L-shaped kitchen seamlessly flows into the dining area, and a corner entertainment center is situated directly across from the sofa for optimal viewing. There’s also hidden storage behind the TV. The front bedroom has a camp king bed, a single wardrobe, and overhead storage compartments.

One significant drawback is the low cargo capacity. It’s the longest travel trailer on this list, but it only has about 200 more pounds of cargo capacity than the much smaller Jay Flight. Be cautious when loading this camper to ensure you don’t exceed its gross vehicle weight rating.

Don’t need bunks? Check out the Campsite Reserve 25MW.

Top Affordable Small RVs

If you’re looking for smaller, budget-friendly travel trailers, we have a few good options under 21 feet. These RV campers won’t offer the same interior space, but they provide all the essentials for a comfortable camping trip. These small RVs are also easier to tow since they’re lightweight. If you’re looking for an RV trailer you can tow with an SUV, check out these affordable small RVs.

13S Specs

  • Length: 15’11”
  • Dry Weight: 2,830 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,170 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

The compact Coleman 13S features a corner bed, wet bath, pantry, flip-up bunk, sofa, electric fireplace, spacious countertop, single-burner electric cooktop, refrigerator, and microwave—everything you need for a weekend camping trip in 16 feet.

I love the multi-functional countertop above the fireplace that doubles as an eating area. If you need to work or check email, it also serves as a dedicated workspace. I also love that the entry door is in the rear, creating longer interior walls and making excellent use of the small space.

13T Specs

  • Length: 15’11”
  • Dry Weight: 3,005 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,250 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

The hybrid toy hauler Coleman 13T features a rear ramp door for effortless loading of your ATV, bikes, or paddleboards. The rugged off-road tires enable you to camp with the amenities of a campground or venture deeper into the woods, closer to trailheads or fishing holes.

Along the front wall is the kitchen, which features a 2-burner cooktop, a microwave/convection oven/air fryer combo camper, as well as a refrigerator/freezer. A wet bath sits in the corner, saving space while still giving you a place to wash up after a day of exploring.

I love the use of this small space, featuring a pop-out tent on the driver’s side that provides a comfortable sleeping area for two. There’s also a flip-up bar table with stools and a Murphy bed for additional sleeping space.

Compare the Coleman 13B and 13R floor plans.

Forest River Ozark 1610FBLE

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 20’1”
  • Dry Weight: 3,014 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 846 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 3

If you want a full bath without additional length, check out the Ozark 1610FBLE. The bathroom is situated along the rear wall and features a shower, sink, shelves, and spacious counterspace.

I also love the layout of the L-shaped lounge, which creates a comfortable space for eating and hanging out directly across from the kitchen, which includes a 2-burner cooktop, a refrigerator, and overhead storage. There is no microwave, which is something to consider if it’s essential for your camping needs. Finally, the front queen bed is surrounded by storage space, providing ample storage solutions for both solo travelers and couples.

Jayco Jay Feather Air 15MRB

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 20’2”
  • Dry Weight: 3,630 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,365 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 2

Another compact travel trailer with a rear full bath is the Jay Feather Air 15MRB. This Jayco travel trailer offers a fully equipped kitchen, featuring a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and a 2-burner cooktop. A booth dinette sits across from the kitchen by a large window, providing beautiful views if boondocking.

The 15MRB is also another affordable camper with a Murphy bed. If you want a dinette, sofa, and bed in a travel trailer around 20 feet long, this layout is one of the best. I also love the exterior, with a 13-foot awning and outside griddle for cooking up bacon or burgers.

Picks for the Best Affordable RVs to Live In

If you’re a full-time camper who needs more amenities, there are surprisingly many affordable RVs to live in. They are considerably larger and heavier than the smaller affordable travel trailers we’ve mentioned, so ensure you have a suitable vehicle for towing.

Downstairs, the rear bedroom features a camp king bed, an electric fireplace, a private entry door, and a closet set up for a washer and dryer.

The central living space is enormous and features an L-shaped sectional sofa and a second sofa, providing ample seating for guests or large families. There’s also a large pantry, bar seating, a freestanding dinette, and an L-shaped front kitchen with abundant counterspace. What more could you want?

Keystone Coleman Lantern 32BHS

Specs

  • Length: 36’11”

For families seeking a rear bunk room, the Coleman Lantern 32BHS offers a private rear bunk room with a half bathroom featuring a second entry door. It offers great privacy for the kids, despite limited storage space, which includes a single wardrobe, two drawers, and a hidden compartment under a partial section of the upper bunk.

The central living area is spacious, making it an ideal layout for families with pets, thanks to a large slide-out that accommodates the sofa and booth dinette. The L-shaped kitchen offers decent counterspace and a large corner pantry, a crucial feature for full-time families. I also love the family-friendly appliances—a 16-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator, an air fryer/microwave/convection oven combo, and a 3-burner cooktop.

The front bedroom features a pocket door, side wardrobes, an additional small closet, and a king-size bed. There is great privacy for parents and kids in the 32BHS. Finally, I love the 21-foot awning, which creates shade in the summer and protection from rain when cooking outside.

Even though travel trailers are generally the most affordable new RVs, they aren’t for everyone. While motorhomes and fifth wheels come with higher price tags on average, we’ve assembled a couple of budget-conscious RV options in these segments.

Specs

  • Length: 17’11”
  • Chassis: RAM ProMaster® 1500
  • GVWR: 8,550 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 3

The Freedom Elite 17D Class B van is built on a RAM ProMaster® 1500 chassis with a 3.6L V6 gas engine. It has a 47” x 75” rear bed with ample storage underneath. The storage is easily accessible through the rear double doors.

I also love the interior storage that includes upper shelves with cargo netting, zippable cubbies, and a kitchen counter with a drawer and enclosed shelves. There’s also a small fridge, an induction cooktop, and a stainless steel sink.

Keystone Cougar Sport Platinum 2400RE

Specs

  • Length: 28’11”
  • Dry Weight: 7,474 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,026 pounds
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6

Couples who prefer a fifth wheel will love the spaciousness and affordability of the Cougar Sport Platinum 2400RE. I love that Keystone built an L-shaped kitchen rather than a kitchen island because it creates a more open layout in a smaller fifth wheel. The slide-out across from the kitchen houses a booth dinette and theater seating, making the flow seamless and comfortable.

I also love the storage options in this fifth wheel under 29 feet. There’s a storage bench and coat rack as soon as you enter, a second closet in the front bedroom, and a butler pantry hidden behind the entertainment center, a space-saving concept while still providing abundant food storage. There’s a flip-up table along the rear wall that provides a dedicated work space or an excellent area to set up a taco bar or buffet-style dinner without using up the main counterspace.
