Porsche has added a new GT4 spec race car to its global customer motorsport portfolio. The new 911 GT4 R is derived from the popular 911 Cup and is now available in the United States for $375,500.
The new Porsche 911 GT4 R will race in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and SRO Pirelli GT4 America championships, among other series, from 2027.

The 911 GT4 R is based on the 992.2 911 GT3. It has a more powerful engine and advanced electronics compared to the previous Clubsport models based on the 718 Cayman, which contribute towards improved lap times, drivability and stability.

At the heart of the 911 GT4 R is a 4.0-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine that delivers 512 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque. The car comes with 53.7 mm air flow restrictors, which reduce the overall output to 424 hp. The engine is mated to a sequential six-speed dog-gearbox controlled with paddle shifters and a four-disc racing clutch.
The 911 GT4 R rides on dual-adjustable dampers with three selectable spring rates that offer a range of set-up options. The rear wing is manually adjustable to 11 positions.
